ASTM D4956-04
Standard Specification for Retroreflective Sheeting for Traffic Control. Defines ten types (I–X) and five adhesive backing classes for retroreflective sheeting used on highway signs, delineators, barricades, and other traffic control devices. Covers photometric performance, daytime color, durability (outdoor weathering), and supplementary requirements such as fungus resistance and reboundable sheeting.
